Custody and Visitation in San Diego

If you are involved, or will be involved, in custody litigation, please keep in mind your number one goal should be to get the child or children through this process with as little pain and suffering as possible.

Your request for custody/visitation will usually include a mandatory custody counseling session with Family Court Services.  No attorneys are present at the session and it is just you, your ex-spouse, and the counselor deciding what visitation plan is in the best interest of your children.  If you do not come to an agreement with your spouse, the counselor will make a written recommendation to the Court as to what he/she believes is best for your children.  This office does offer preparation for the counseling session so that you are prepared for the session prior to meeting with the counselor.

This office also handles modifications of custody and visitation orders that are already in place.  Upon the showing of a substantial change in circumstances, you can modify a custody/visitation order.
